Financial Continuing Care Case Manager

Primary Responsibilities: 1. Will serve as the point person for Caron in terms of insurance coverage for families, patients, internal departments and the insurance companies to answer questions and direct necessary information. 2. Will complete initial pre-cert calls and concurrent review calls to managed care companies as well as benefit verification. This also includes the arrangement, facilitation and tracking of all doctor to doctor requests. 3. Fax ACT 106 prescriptions for treatment to insurance companies maintain logs for tracking purposes. 4. Notify the accounting department of any and all funding changes during a patients treatment within 24 hours of that change for accurate payor mix tracking goals in the accounting system. Notifying all marketing/business development staff if a problem occurs with a financial plan with one of their key accounts for assistance in placement. 5. Collecting all money by discharge for extensions/transfers. 6. Updating daily aid tracking with scholarship grants at

Minimum Physical Requirements: 1. Ability to communicate verbally for 85% of work day 2. Ability to sit for 90% of work day 3. Ability to type 85% of work day

Desired Education: CAC or BA Human Services or nursing experience required.

Desired Job Experience: 1 year experience in customer service, in healthcare setting - required 2 years of working experience in the chemical dependency field can be substituted for the educational requirement. Computer experience working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) or similar software - required 2 years continuous sobriety preferred, if in recovery.
